Testosterone Replacement for mood issues?

Posted by PeterMartin on July 23, 2024, at 1:13:54

Recently started getting Testosterone replacement shots (120mg per week of Testosterone Cypionate injected at a local clinic).

I'm 46 and been on psych meds for 24yrs now. Been struggling lately particularly with fatigue and motivation/anhedonia. Randomly asked my Gp to check my Testosterone level at a general wellness physical a couple months ago. Level was on the borderline for low (300 when the range is 300 to 1200). With the symptoms I have I qualified to try treatment.

Only been 3 weeks so far and can't say I've noticed the mood/energy bump some speak of :-/ Still trying to remain optimistic as it can take 6 weeks+ for effects and also may need to adjust meds after bloodworm at 6 weeks.

Just curious if anyone else has tried this route for mood issues. Success stories of optimism would help me feel better about it potentially helping me also.
