By 2001, psychedelics had been vilified by politicians, law enforcement and the media for over 30 years, so it's understandable that you showed no interest in them.
It's such a pity that, in 1970, LSD and other psychedelics were declared "drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse." Because of this, it's likely that millions of people have suffered needlessly.
