PARNATE has anyone stopped it and then re-started

I stupidly decreased my parnate dose a little and its now not working . I then increased to the max I could bear, and still not working. Has anyone stopped it and started again soon after, to see if it works better that way..... Im clutching at straws, but dont know what to do as I dont want to go back on Nardil.
All help appreciated. Im in UK and its so difficult to get any help or knowldge here.
