> I just read an article about a discovery of a brain protein that is elevated in the brain's of depressed people. I thought I would share. Has anyone else come across any new research findings or new drugs on the horizon?

It may be that elevated FGF9 is the result of elevations in brain inflammatory processes rather than its cause. While FGF9 may indeed be the key to treating depression, I think we need to see what the normal role of this protein is in the body and see clinical results before pharmaceutical companies dedicate all of their resources to developing drugs that inhibit FGF9 activity.
