Focalin, Focalin XR w/ and w/o MAOIs

SLS mentioned this, and I'll just say it frankly: a friend gave me some Focalin several months ago and it was a much more "clean" feeling than any form of Ritalin I've taken.

I take Nardil, and was at the time, never had an adverse event....

Has anyone tried the XR version? Is there a particular generic of either standard, or XR I should take?
