Beta-blockers do a good job of treating the physical effects of anxiety, such as tremor, sweating, heart racing, etc. But as far as actually treating anxiety they are not meant to.
If you want something to treat anxiety, try a benzodiazapine, Gabitril, Lyrica or a serotonergic antidepressant.
also, 10 mg is a ridiculously low dose of propanalol.
