really low dose tranquilizers can calm you down, maybe elevate mood a bit, reduce agitation and anxiety...without too many side effects.
Way back when, they'd use stelazine, trilafon, even thorazine, for this. Look at the old school Thorazine ads. Back then, ads were just for docs, so they didn't even advertise thorazine as an antipsychotic; they just called it a tranquilizer and recommended low low doses for...everything...in just about any situation, lol. They'd even mix it with amphetamines.
You're not a freak or anything. Risperdal is relatively high potency. Push the dose high enough and it acts like Haldol, just much more expensive. So...
OK. I looked it up. 2mgs/Risperidone=100mgs Thorazine, so your dose is like 12.5mgs/Thorazine. Doesn't seem like much--it isn't, really--but its probably enough to chill you out a bit.
