I think that the only way to know for sure is to try it.
I think cannabanoid signalling is a long overdue target for a host of psychiatric disorders.
There was a recent study that showed positive effects of marijuanna use in PTSD. It also found that anandamide (natural cannabanoid agonist) was low in people who went on to develop PTSD.
I eat a lot of chocolate and in many ways find it thereaputic. Cocoa contains anandamide, anandamide reuptake inhibiting subustances, and other flavanoids that directy bind to cannabanoid receptors. Oleamide is a cannabanoid agoinist as are certain flavanoids found in tea.
If you haven't noticed, all the so called 'bad' drugs are being resurected as potential theraputic agents. Magic mushrooms, ketamine, nicotine, ecstacy just to name a few. This is not to say that all are perfectly safe, of course.
