Chronic Dexedrine shortage in US? What to do...

Several pharmacies alerted me that Dexedrine was on backorder, up to weeks out. This is weird. In California, I knew of two pharmacies that always had it, but if you google "Dexedrine shortage" you'll see this is a real problem.
Does anyone work in the pharmacy industry in the US? Have a look at this page:

I wonder if an independent pharmacy not tied to a particular distributor could help me. It does look as though I'll be calling around quite a bit tomorrow.
