My guess is that is based on individual brain and/or body chemistry, as there are agents in the medications (coloring, binders, etc.) that do not work to control the symptoms of psychosis (or maina, depression, etc.). Also, my experience with side effects has been mild while my symptoms (depression) are severe. There are, however, folks on this forum much more knowledgeable about psychopharmacology than I who may offer a different (and, perhaps, more accurate) point of view.
