And, re your skin condition, I'd realy encourage you to push for a trial of oral doxycycline, you'll just have to be careful in the sun..... I took doxy for months as an antimalarial when i was in Africa and never had a problem with photosensetivity. A macrolide like erythromycin is another option if your derm is totaly against doxy
For the eczema, as well as your steroid creams, remember, too much moisturiser isnt enough! Use a good rich emolient (Eucerin Cream is a good one) twice a day on the areas prone to eczema. Apply the moisturiser, wait an hour or so, then apply your steroid.... and when it improves, keep using the moisturiser to keep the eczema away, they are the cornerstone of treatment!
