Remeron or Zoloft more powerful on Serotonin?

Posted by mogger on May 30, 2012, at 13:39:00

Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether Remeron or Zoloft have more effects on raising serotonin? I wiki'd both and see that Zoloft does obviously inhibit the reuptake of serotonin but Remeron hits a heck a lot of serotonin receptors. When I look at drug interactions and warnings of serotonin syndrome I see more "contradictions" (warnings about serotonin syndrome) with Remeron than with Zoloft when adding different medications. Thanks,

mogger
