Stopping desiprimine - what should I be looking at

to replace it? It's been three weeks of nothing but side effects and worsening mood so I'm throwing in the towel on this one.

Because Nortriptyline worked but I stopped it due to extreme weight gain, what would you suggest to add to 10mg. paxil (too hard to get off) for depression. Have tried prozac, celexa, wellbutrin, lamictal. Any ideas??

I will see my pdoc August 10th.

Diagnosis: depression and anxiety
Current meds: paxil 20mg., desiprimine 20mg., clonazepam .5mg.
Of meds tried, nortriptyline worked the best but caused major weight gain so d/c
