Dr Ken Gillman has some info on his site "Psychotropical" about combining parnate witha tricyclic, its somthing he does for resistant depression

Previous poster was right that nortriptyline (or another tricyclic) can actualy help prevent a hypertensive crisis.

The trick is to start both drugs at low doseage (say 10mg of parnate and 25mg of nortriptyline per day) and slowly increase over 2 weeks or so.

Many many patients all over the wold have been treated with this combination, if you have severe, resistant depression, its worth trying.
