I wouldn't do it, just b/c of all the "tardive" syndromes associated with antipsychotic use (both newer and older ones). You have tardive dyskinesia, tardive dystonia, tardive dementia, tardive psychosis, tardive tics, tardive gait...it just goes on and on.
Although tardive dyskinesia gets all the attention, I'd be worried about tardive psychosis. There's some indication that one reason people on long-term antipsychotics "need" their meds is b/c brain changes caused by the pills means going off of them results in problems more severe than what they had before using the medication. That kinda sucks.

Have you tried depakote+metformin? therapy? supplements?
