Combining Ativan and Valium?

Hi,
I take 2 mg of Valium every night, and take 0.5 mg of ativan, around 3-4 times per week, during the day.
Would it be better to stick with just valium, and take 2 mg of Valium twice a day- both at night and also once during the day?
