As long as it doesn't conflict with any of your other meds, I guess you could try it. Before I was taking Remeron it would make me feel like I was having a permanent bowel spasm. I looked up the effects of serotonin on the bowel, and sure enough it contracts smooth muscle. A more conservative way to deal with your constipation, though, would be docusate or adding fiber to your diet. For a while I was taking docusate for what I presume were anticholergic side effects. I don't mind having a little bit of those, because when I am not treated effectively, my anxiety gives me diarrhea.
