It probably has, there's a search feature at the top of the page if your interested in past posts with those words.
I am definitely on the fear/anger side of things, and this has never been addressed by pdocs. We've always focussed on the anxious depression. But the more stress I'm under the more irritable and difficult to be around I get, though even when times are good, it's always there.
So you have anger, but you don't get depressed? You say you're high-functioning, so I would assume that you haven't had a severe depression?
Does anyone know a good med. for anger? I'm fortunate enough to be relatively high-functioning in terms of a career, but this untreated anger has taken a terrible toll on my personal life. And even once on a job. Any of the AC's make me stupid, however low the dose. SSRi's help with the anxiety but not the anger. Any ideas?
I knew somebody once who had real anger problems. And one time I was reading about borderline personality disorder and I had a flash of recognition, because anger is one of the main components to the diagnosis.
As to a med for specifically for anger, I haven't heard of one, but that's an interesting question, and I'm sure the most knowledgeable meds people on this board will weigh in on this later. If you rule out ADs, my thoughts might be the so-called APs (anti-psychotics, but anyone takes them. They include Zyprexa, Seroquel and Risperdal), or possibly lamictal, or perhaps something like Klonopin, or Xanax. The last two are anti-anxiety meds.
Have you ever tried any of those? Or read-up on borderline personality?
