It is theoretically possible that adding Remeron to a NE reuptake inhibitor will act synergistically to increase activity in NE pathways. This might be a good thing. I saw only one report of serotonin syndrome involving a SSRI and Remeron.

Wait for other to chime in, but I can't think of any serious adverse events coming from this combination.
