I've taken Adderall now for going on five years. Does it still help? I don't really know. But I definitely feel it when I don't take it-- I'm sluggish and lethargic all day. I guess it also depends on what you're taking stimulants for. If you're taking them for ADHD, supposedly they're supposed to keep working effectively long-term. I'm not so sure about other uses...
