Hi Garnet,
You know my son is Bipolar 1, he rapid cycles, when not medicated he will have an "episode" that lasts 24-48 hours. This happens average of every 3 weeks. This went on for nine months. One thing we learned was in some people (Him) benzos don't sedate him, they activate and empower him. So the opposite effect of we expected. Its not that uncommon from what I hear. It could be the one you took or are taking is having the opposite effect you want it too. Seroquel works like magic for him and also has some A/D properties to it. Ask your Doc about it. Maybe a small dose would help you.
