> just wondering about people's experiences on nortriptyline as an augmentation agent. i began 10mg at night about a week ago - in anticipation of adding an ssri once i understand the effect nortrip has on its own - and it's hard to infer much at this stage. i definitely feel more motivated during the day. after i take it at night though i'm overcome by a weird feeling of tiredness/fuzziness + alertness. i realise sometimes when i expect something to make me sleep i can paradoxically get more anxious waiting for it to 'work'. but with something like remeron, in spite of my anticipation, i would pass out within 10/15 minutes. is 10mg simply too low a dose? does it get more obviously sedating the higher up you go?

Since you've already started nortrip try increasing 10 mg at a time and see if it does the trick on it's own without adding in another drug. Sometimes it's effective at doses as low as 50 mg.
