Hi Mickapoo,
Afternoon tiredness is a very common side effect of high dosage Nardil and most all MAOIs. It can turn into a vicious cycle when you start taking long naps, then staying up late afterwards. Compounding the problem are the sleep medications which most people on MAOIs have to take for insomnia. Some find relief with low dosage stimulants. Many others just live with it, because without the MAOIs they would not survive. It is a little bit ironic that the best medications for atypical depression, the MAOIs, have side effects that are similar to the symptoms of atypical depression. I'm referring mainly to oversleeping and overeating.
Be Well,

> I've been on Nardil for about 6 weeks now, for the last couple of weeks or so at 75 mg. At times I feel very sedated, almost like I'm drugged. I can barely keep my eyes open to work and usually end up going to lie down for a nap.
