Hi Mickapoo,
Afternoon tiredness is a very common side effect of high dosage Nardil and most all MAOIs. It can turn into a vicious cycle when you start taking long naps, then staying up late afterwards. Compounding the problem are the sleep medications which most people on MAOIs have to take for insomnia. Some find relief with low dosage stimulants. Many others just live with it, because without the MAOIs they would not survive. It is a little bit ironic that the best medications for atypical depression, the MAOIs, have side effects that are similar to the symptoms of atypical depression. I'm referring mainly to oversleeping and overeating.
