The diet basically restricts or forbids anything very fermented- ie, red wine, some types of beer, aged cheeses, over-ripe fruit, excess soy and soy sauce, etc. Some say chocolate, also (but for another reason.) So yes, can be a bummer- in my case the list is identical to all my favorite foods! Others on the thread likely know more about it than I do.
