> I took Parnte for a long time. I had hypotension and passed out a lot. It can be dangerous but I started taking Ritalin with it. Of course this can cause hypertensive crisis. A pdoc who was not treating me told me if the doc would not prescribe Ritalin for the hypotension to buy "Sudafed" and cut them in half and take half at a time. I cannot stress that this can be dangerous. I also have Procardia at hand and a blood pressure gauge. Instead of going to the hospital as I had several spontaneous hypotensive crisis' I took the Procardia at home and kept checking my blood pressure to make sure it worked and if I need to take another. I always made sure I was not alone or if I could not do this I called someone and kept in touch until I was okay.

>So I did take my first pill this morning. I have been on parnate before and had hypotension. I never passed out would had to drop to my hands and knees a few times. I've bought a really good cuff style monitor and will track my BP. If it gets too bad my pdoc will prescribe something for it. Right now my bp is running a bit on the high side, so who knows..maybe it'll drop it to normal and I won't get the hypotension (here's hoping).
I also wasn't eating the first time I took parnate and was living on Boost so that may have contributed to it also. Here's to hoping for a smoother ride this time.
