Anyone know about Coaxil for IBS? FDA track?

My doctor just told me that Servier may be applying for approval of tianeptine for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome -- with some sort of resulting patent protection to make it worth their while. Has anyone else heard of this? Does anyone who has heard of it know anything about how soon that might come to fruition?
