Effexor XR + Abilify for OCD/GAD

Good evening folks:
So I have fairly severe OCD--Mainly the O, less of the C. But all consuming, dark obsessive thoughts are preventing me from truly enjoying...well, anything.

So, I have a pdoc I like who had me on 2mg Abilify for awhile--it seemed to help, but I stopped taking it as I worried (probably falsely) it was maybe causing a compulsive gambling problem that developed when I started the new drug.

I seem to have the gambling under control, but I'm back to my incredibly upsetting, distracting, constant obsessive thinking. My pdoc put me on Effexor XR (150mg now), and I am off and on feeling great and awful. It's only been a couple weeks with the Effexor.

Anyway, I am thinking of suggesting to him we reintroduce the 2mg Abilify and also keep the Effexor in the mix.

Thoughts on this?
