If your multi contains poorly absorbable minerals anyway then drinking tea wont matter as these type of minerals are poorly absorbed anyway. But tea will still effect the mineral absorption from your breakfast food.
However, if they are highly absorbale forms (chelates, gluconates, citrates, etc) then its best to take them without tea.Personally, I like drinking tea with breakfast so I take a sustained-release high strength mult-vit (without minerals) at breakfast & then take a highly absorbable multi-min + other individual mins with dinner & without tea.
Ideally you should drink tea away from meals when you can. And an alternative drink to aid digestion is mint tea (not containing REAL tea) which wont effect mineral absorption.
Still, drinking tea with breakfast IMO is ok as long as its only with breakfast & not with the remaining meals of the day and not with your mineral supplements.
And coffee is supposed to effect mineral absorption in a similar way as tea.
