Well...it was the first antidepressant I ever took, with Ativan for anxiety. Weight changes...I'd say it tends to increase weight but in a slow fashion. It's gradual, and dose dependent. This is how it was for me. Not really like the sudden weight gain when you take an atypical antipsychotic, or Remeron. What dose are you taking? Hope this helps a bit...Jay :-)
