Hi there,
It's been a while since I've last posted, so most of you probably don't remember me.
I have Bulimia Nervosa, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, and OCD.
I take Lexapro, Lamictal, Xanax XR, and regular Xanax.
I am having a procedure done to my back - injections into my spine. I explained to my pain mgt. doc that I am terrified of needles and was hoping that we could opt for a non invasive form of pain management.
He said that based on my MRI, he wants to give me these injections. He showed me the needle (HUGE NEEDLE!) and showed me on a model spine where he was going to inject me.. I FREAKED out, told him that there was NO way that I was going to have that done to me, blah blah blah..
After my ranting and raving, my Dr. told me that he would be prescribing me Halcion to take before I go in for the injections. He said that the Halcion would take care of any fear or anxiety that I had in reference to the shots.
I've seen posts on here about Halcion in the past, but I can't remember what was said about it.
I guess my question is, what IS Halcion? What will it do to me, is it dangerous, and what are your experiences with this drug?
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks!
