In reply to What dose or Nardil needed to kick in?, posted by girlnterrupted78 on June 23, 2007, at 22:24:59
Hi,
Everybody is different but in general two weeks is not going to give Nardil a chance to work. The most quoted efficacious dosage is 1mg/kg of body weight. It usually takes a while to titrate up to that dosage; then three to six weeks after that. I know the waiting on these med trials is a pain, especially when you are seriously depressed. If Nardil works for you, when it does kick in you will know it. It is not a subtle feeling. For me it was 60 to 75mg before Nardil initially worked. I then later went up to 90mg and 105mg, but I'm a large person. If a lower dosage will work for you the side effects should be less. Trial & error, I hate it, but that is about all we have to go on sometimes.
Be well,
Jedi
