Phillipa, of course there's never a reason for why an AP is used other than "it works for some people with TRD like yours". But so far, of the AP's I've tried, Risperdal, seroquel, Zyprexa and Geodon haven't worked, so I figure it won't work.
Why did I agree to try it, I asked myself after I got home? I have no confidence in my ability to predict what might work for me. He is the pdoc right, so he should know what will work, right?
I'm not sure what they know, but lots of things used here he is not familiar with like Ultram or Lyrica for depression. Or Amulsipride, tienepine DL-phenylalanine, so there is so much more on this site than the conventional pdocs have experience with.
