The tianeptine manufacturer's information says not to combine with MAOis, but my doc is of the opinion that this is just for law-suit related reasons. No one wants an MAO related legal issue on their hands.
I don't know whether it would help, but I believe it to be safe. Tianeptine is a very easy med to add to others, but you rarely know what's going to happen when you do, because of its differing mechanism of action. It sounds worth a try--might help with nausea, or other side-effects caused by serotonin excess, or increase antidepressant effects maybe...hard to say. To my knowledge, these two drugs just haven't been studied together. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.
