This stuff works for depression but the hype about it is completely ridiculous. I have been on a very small dose of lamictal, only 5 mg coz my body is sensitive to meds and it's like im dead from the waist down. That was my 14th psych medication. I've been on everything from anti'ds to anti psychs to "mood stabilisers" and benzos which are the only things that work for me when i take them as needed. right now I'm about ready to give up and chuck this whole med thing in......I find my anxiety and depression is lifted much better on nootropics and klonopin and i dont have to give up my sex life and live as a nun. Hey I may be more unhappy but at least there's one area of my life I can enjoy.

Wellbutrin is sometimes used to reverse the sexual side effects of antidepressants. It might be worthwhile for you to explore the addition of Wellbutrin to your treatment regime.

Ugh.

I had a feeling you were going to say that. Damn. I was hoping the Klonopin would prevent that from happening.

The side effect you are experiencing with Lamictal is unusual. I wonder if it would resolve at higher dosages? Things like that happen sometimes. If not, and it is really working well for you, you might consider augmenting it with a dopamine agonist like pramepexole, ropinerole, or cabergoline. It might further improve your depression and help recover some of your sexual function.

How high have you gone with Lamictal?

Just thinking out loud...
