Hi-
I was on Zyprexa for over a year at 2.5 mg. Tried 3x to go off but it was hell for me (not always true for everyone). Sooooo, I weaned myself off by going to 1.25 for about 6 months, then cut that in half for another month and then literally took a speck for a few weeks more. With Lorazepam as a calming agent I was able to get off Zyprexa (and am now on Geodon). Anyway, that's not your question. Yes, 2.5 was plenty for me, even the 1.25 worked wonders. I only went off because for me the weigth gain was high.
