Well, it does seem to be helping me, and I am in the antidepressant-resistant group. Effexor might have helped *a little*, but I was exercising regularly so it just as easily have been that which helped my mood/concentration a bit. I gained 20 pounds on Effexor (not eating any more than before), so I axed that one! Wellbutrin helped a long time ago, but over the years, when I would go back to it, it eventually lowered my REM latency to NIL (I was practically narcoleptic). Cymbalta has improved my concentration, altho it didn't kick in for a solid 4 weeks at 60 mg. It has also made me enjoy things more. I have fallen back in love with my children, lol. Gosh, my 6-year old is adorable and funny! I have no problem getting up in the morning, but that darn sleepiness kicks in after a while. I have been having a lot of long, vivid dreams, but my REM latency seems OK. It takes me a little longer to fall asleep than when I was depressed and med-free.
