I didn't read the whole piece, but I do take issue with the info cited on ritalin increasing SAT scores, etc. My understanding of the literature on this topic is that although a stimulant may cause an increase in attention, focus, etc. among "normal" folks, the increase is only slight. Although it is statistically significant, it is not practically significant. It is a different story for folks who have clinically significant problems w/ attention. Their improvements are much more dramatic and meaningful.
