Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - it is from being traumatized by war, abuse, rape, happenings of a violent nature.
I also have irregular periods. Some of it, is due to periomenopause, and some, I am sure, due to the Effexor. And I am taking a lose dose BC pill as HRT. I feel like my hormones are all over the charts anyway. Some nights, I have the night sweats, some days I get hot flashes.
The Wellbutrin seemed to make me edgy and irritable. It was great getting a libido back but when one is irritable and cranky, the libido isn't much good anyway.
I have BPD; a more significant type of PTSD. Paxil and Wellbutrin seem to make my "symptoms" worse.
Effexor helps a lot BUT I just don't know what it is like to wake up feeling, well, happy. I haven't felt that in a long, long time.
