I agree with what most others have said...what if you get stuck with a placebo?
If you want to try abilify and cost is a problem, you could always start by getting 10mg pills and cut them into 4 quarters and dose just 2.5mg to start. Later on if you like it and go to a higher dose, just get larger pills and cut them to size. That way you can get 2 to 4 days worth of meds out of one pill.
With abilify, most people have a period of one to two weeks of side effects to get through. But usually in the 3 days to 3 weeks timeframe, they know whether it is helping them feel better or not. Why go through a long clinical trial when you could find out for yourself in less than 3 weeks, and keep all your favorite meds at the same time?
