Sweating (face/scalp)

Posted by ed_uk on October 10, 2005, at 14:31:09

I sweat VERY heavily when I get anxious. It's embarrasing when it happens at work and it sometimes causes my anxiety to spiral out of control.

I take Celexa for anxiety. It helps certain types of anxiety but it aggravates the sweating.

Beta blockers do not reduce the sweating.

Anticholinergic drugs are sometimes effective at reducing sweating. Unfortunately, I find the side effects of anticholinergic drugs to be difficult to tolerate.

I'm considering trying (a low dose of) clonidine.

Any suggestions?
