Okay I am really confused now. The doc started me on Effexor last week just today starting 75 mg. The only reason he has me on it is to help with hot flashes due to menopause. After reading through many of these posts I have not found anything regarding hot flashes and it almost looks like the consensus of this drug is not really that good. The things that scared me about it was 1. wgt gain 2. sexual side effects 3. getting off of it. Should I just stop now before I am on it for very long or give it a shot.
