Everyone is different. I'm described as having bipolar depression. I tend to more often in a state of depression (and boy, am I in one now) than hypomanic. So something like Abilify would be good for me if it would ever get approved in Canada!
Geodon and Abilify are known to be stimulating. You might want to try lithum or depakote or Tegretol and stay away from the anti-psychotics.
There is a lot of trial and error. And so you have to be patient and keep trying. Until you reach the end ... like me.

I asked my doc for seroquel because from what I have read I thought it might be the best in that class of drugs, but he insisted that I try geodon first. My question is what is the difference between the two as far as side effects and which one is least likly to cause sexuall side effects for females? I took my first pill and within 3 hours I was really tired so I tried to go to sleep but it was like I had restless leg syndrome or something, I just could not be still. Will this go away or not? Does Seroquel do the same thing? Sorry for all the questions but I need answers. Thanks in advance

Plus they can give you akathesia, which is they make it so that you can't be still. On too much Abilify I'm running around in circles screaming, literally. Seroquel has strong anti-anxiety and mood stablizing properties. I take it mainly so that I can take the Abilify. And the Seroquel puts me straight to sleep at night. I don't remember having any sexual side effects on Seroquel.
