In reply to to those that SSRI's don't work, or make worse, posted by qbsbrown on March 9, 2005, at 14:07:02

Hi,

Just wanted to say years ago SSRIs worked really well for me on a lowish dose and I experienced no anxiety on them.

However, 4 years ago on going back on them again at the same the anxiety was excruciating and the depression was still almost as bad. However, 2 years ago my Psychiatrist decided to double the dose of Seroxat and this time things went fairly smoothly. So it may be worth increasing the dose, it doesn't always mean that the higher you go the more the anxiety will increase.

Failing the above, I found 10mg of Zyprexa every now and again really helpful and also Nardil didn't seem to make me anxious when I tried that although I didn't really like the way I felt on the drug.

Hope you find something soon.

Denise
