Wellbutrin is more like a stimulant than any other AD I've taken. It is also "icky" for me in the sense that it provoked a lot of nausea and caused worsening anxiety over time. My panic symptoms are closely related to how calm my GI tract is. Propantheline was the first medication that I was prescribed as a teenager to treat IBS symptoms. The GP told me I was having some kind of "vagus nerve instability". Interestingly, the propantheline seemed to have an anxiolytic effect that seemed to go beyond treating the acute GI symptoms. That's may be part of the reason why I found nortriptyline anxiolytic.
