I have seen it recommended on the alternative board a few times for anxiety - 500 mg of niacinimide (not niacin), three or four times a day. Apparently it is supposed to be quite effective. I have my mom taking 500 mg, twice a day now, and it seems to help her with her anxiety and worrying. Magnesium is also supposed to be calming. I have added 250 mg, twice a day to my regime.
