If so, this may be a gender thing.
For me (a female....although I too sometimes think I'm merely an amoeba!) Celexa first caused anorgasmia. A complete and total lack of sensitivity, numb!! (Is that clear enough to everyone???).
After a while of that, I began to lose interest in sex. No libido. Then came the sense of "doing my marital duty". I think that part (the low sex drive) for myself was basically a PSYCHOLOGICAL response to long term anorgasmia. I'm not sure that it's a neuro-chemical type response.Could there be a gender difference? No libido for males vs no orgasm/sensitivity for females??
This, and other persistent side effects, is why I've recently stopped Celexa.
