>you're right, it wasn't fair, and i'm sorry for appearing pretentious. but it's important to note people come to this board looking for hope, and when they keep trying all these different meds, after awhile they sort of might give up on hope even when a new med does come out that might help them a lot.
I hope the best of luck to you. I also hope Lyrica is a good alternative to the benzos, although I can't imagine that being the case (that's just me talking, IMHO, after trying everything from antihistamines to antipsychotics to antidepressants to Neurontin, Lamictal, Buspar, and Gabatril).
Gabitril made me have ideas of reference (delusional paranoia, extreme) for a night. So I months later gave up on my pdoc, as he realized he was throwing any psychotropic at my that existed as a means of avoiding a benzo. Benzos work for me, Klonopin's fine for me, I have no problems with it, and it now comes in wafer form. I can talk to girls, have discussions in class, and not feel "retarded" as Neurontin made me feel.
I once again am glad to hear you felt better. It's just that I once thought neurontin was my miracle drug, until a few months into it I realized the IQ lowering effect it had on me was too much to handle.
