I'm taking the generic propranalol, 10mg, for anxiety. So far, it seems to be helping -- although that initial miraculous feeling of relaxation after so long has passed, now it just helps a lot with the tension. It definitely wears off, though, towards the late afternoon. In a few days, I'll be titrating up to BID dosing, since it's working and I'm not having much trouble with hypotension.
So, does anyone know if it reaches a steady state or if it's just a 'here until it's gone' deal? And anyone know how long it lasts? I'm pretty sure that BID won't really mean every 12 hours -- since I'm pretty relaxed in my sleep -- so I'm curious about the optimal dosing schedule? Does anyone know anything about all this?
Dr NoName, by the way, didn't say anything beyond "...and then take it twice a day." It's not a regular part of his bag of tricks. so I think he just didn't think of specifying how far apart those two doses should be. (And yes, I may indeed call and ask, but first I figured I'd check here...)
Thanks!
