I have been through the saem thing as you. I took Prozac years a go, didn't like it after a while, then tried non-prescription remedies. They didn't work so I went back to prescription drugs. I am doing very well on Lexapro and Strattera.
I have read a lot of posts from people trying non-prescription stuff such as L-tyrosine, 5-HTP, SAM-e, Saint John's Wort, and others. But from what I have read, the results are generaly not impressive.
I would recommend trying a different prescription drug.
> ...I feel like crap. I've been on Edronax (8-12mg daily) for 2 years. I needed to wean myself off them and deal with depression another way (exercise, nutrition, meditation) bcs they make me feel like a sock puppet. I went down to 6mg daily (sub therapeutic dose) and started taking L-Tyrosine which worked at first but now I feel crappy (duh). No interest in things, no energy, low self esteem, anxiety...could the low level of drugs be making me feel worse? I HATE EDRONAX!!!
