Hi:
When did you stop taking 'Trazodone' 50 mg. for sleep? More than three months or longer? In my knowledge, ... the second time around such as yours, the effectiveness/efficacy of Trazodone might have COMPLETELY ceased on your system. In other words, your system does NOT respond the Trazodone's effectiveness any longer.
Once the Trazodone' was a 'Miracle' sleeping-aid for you, however, now it might have NO effectiveness in your system. Absolutely, nothing at all?A good example is 'Lithium.' Once stopped the Lithium, the second time around, it does NEVER work on you. Then, you need to be EXTRA cautious before switching another/new psycho.med.
Hopefully, your pdoc. prescribes another 'New' sleep-aid for you soon.
H.G.
